Welcome to the official website of Michael Stollaire, of The Ankh Project! Coming from the ashes of bands that have died out in the past, The Ankh Project emerges like the mythical phoenix. The Project's members firmly believe in the Latin phrase, "carpe diem," hence the use of the term Ankh, which literally means "life," from Egyptian mythos. As this bio is being written, original lyrics and songs are being penned and recorded, which will become a full CD release later in 2007, or early 2008. Unique to this release is Michael's free-form poetry, not unlike Jim Morrison of The Doors, which forms the foundation of all of the song lyrics in the "Holy Avenger" album, and the music. Rather than being pigeon-holed into a single genre, this music cascades over adult contemporary, instrumental/experimental, emo, pop, soft rock, pop rock, hard rock, gothic rock, and full-bore metal.
